The TugTail Story

Walking your dog should be one of life’s simple joys. Fresh air, wagging tails, that quiet bond between you and your best friend. But for us—the founders of TugTail—it rarely felt that way.

Every harness we tried left us frustrated. Some were flimsy and fell apart after a few weeks. Others were awkward to put on, leaving our dogs squirming and us fumbling with straps and buckles. And too many simply didn’t work—offering little control, slipping out of place, or making walks more stressful than they needed to be.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Out of that frustration, TugTail was born. We set out to design a harness that actually works—a harness built for real dog owners, by dog owners who were tired of compromise. Our mission was simple: create something secure, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to make walks enjoyable, not a chore.

After months of research, testing, and plenty of walks with our own pups, we created the harness we had always been searching for:
